Travellers

This image is one from a large number of very small print designs created by Takahashi Shotei in the 1930’s for one of the Tokyo publishers for the purpose of being pasted onto greeting cards aimed at foreign tourists. We selected three images from this large group to reproduced as a slight enlargement from the original.

This image seems to be depicting Don Quixote and Sancho Panza (although this is not officially confirmed).

Dave asked me if I'd like in include a mark of my own print, so under the artist seal I've added a ginkgo leaf.
